Which municipalities do you cover from Sóller?
Llar de Pau serves the entire Sóller valley and the villages of the Serra de Tramuntana: Sóller (including Port de Sóller), Fornalutx, Deià, Bunyola, Valldemossa and Escorca, including the Lluc Sanctuary. We operate from our office at C/ Germà Bianor, 9, in Sóller, 24 hours a day. We also provide services throughout the rest of Mallorca: if a death occurs in Palma, Inca or any other municipality, we will travel there as well.
Is there a funeral parlour in Sóller? Can we choose another one?
Yes. The Sóller funeral parlour is located within the Sóller cemetery, allowing the wake and burial to take place at the same location, without the family having to travel between venues. However, the family is free to choose where the wake takes place, either in Sóller or at any other funeral parlour in Mallorca. Llar de Pau takes care of the transport, room reservation and coordination of schedules with the funeral parlour and cemetery you choose.
Are you based in Sóller or do you travel from Palma?
We are based in Sóller. Llar de Pau is an independent family-run funeral home based at C/ Germà Bianor, 9, 07100 Sóller.We are not part of any funeral group and do not use a call centre: when you call 633 879 727, the owner answers the phone.Being based in the valley means we can reach homes quickly throughout Sóller, Fornalutx, Deià and nearby villages.
If the death occurs outside the valley, can you still help?
Yes. We provide services anywhere in Mallorca, whether the death occurs in a hospital in Palma, such as Son Espases or Son Llàtzer, in a care home or at home. We take care of the transfer to the Sóller funeral parlour or to whichever funeral parlour the family chooses. If the death occurs in mainland Spain or abroad, we can also arrange the repatriation to Mallorca.
Do you offer low-cost direct cremation?
Yes. Direct cremation is the simplest and most affordable option, with no wake or ceremony beforehand. We take care of the transfer, paperwork and cremation, and the ashes are then handed over to the family. We provide a fixed-price quote by phone or WhatsApp before we begin, with no hidden costs. If you have funeral insurance, we can manage the service directly with your insurance company.
Can you arrange an international repatriation?
Yes. We manage repatriations from Mallorca to any country and can assist families directly in German, English or French, without an interpreter. We take care of the documentation (death certificate, health authority transport authorization and mortuary passport when required by the destination country), preparation of the deceased, the coffin suitable for international transport, contact with the consulate and shipment. We can also arrange the cremation in Mallorca and the shipment of the ashes. Many foreign families living in Deià and Sóller choose us specifically because of the languages we speak.
